The LSU herbarium has been collaborating with Dr. Ray Neyland of the Dept. of Biological and Environmental Sciences, McNeese State University in Lake Charles Louisiana, to publish a checklist of the native and naturalized vascular plants of Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana. This list and a summary of our findings. A preliminary version of the list is provided here without annotation. The list here includes 1134 names of vascular plant taxa found to occur presently within the parish.  Species are sorted by family, then genus and species.
